The company

A car, a chauffeur, and nothing left to chance.

RG Black Limo is a chauffeur company rather than a marketplace. The car that pulls up is ours, the schedule is ours to keep, and the phone at two in the morning is answered by somebody who can actually move a vehicle.

Los Angeles based Direct operator, no brokers 99 vehicles, six classes Dispatch answered 24/7

01 — In short

The company that shows up.

RG Black Limo LLC runs chauffeured cars in Los Angeles, and that is the whole of it. There is no app to download, no driver network to be matched into, and no second company sitting in the middle taking a share of the fare and a share of the responsibility.

Booking direct is the part that changes how a day feels. Call us and you reach the operation that holds the schedule, so a flight landing ninety minutes late becomes a note on a dispatch screen rather than a cancelled job, and asking to keep the car for another hour gets you a yes or a no on the spot instead of a support ticket. That is the whole argument, and it is set out at greater length on why book direct.

The fleet runs to ninety-nine vehicles, organised into six classes from a Mercedes-Benz S-Class up to a fourteen-seat Sprinter. Six classes is what a client chooses between; ninety-nine vehicles is what keeps the class you booked available on the morning you booked it, rather than substituted for something else at six in the morning. Interiors are cleaned before a reservation, vehicles are checked before they leave, and the class written on your confirmation is the class that arrives at the kerb.

Most of the work sits between Beverly Hills, the Westside and LAX. The same car will take you to Newport Beach for dinner, to Indio for a festival weekend, or down the I-5 to San Diego — the runs we drive most often carry set prices, and everything else is quoted in writing before you commit. Hourly work starts from $85.

02 — What we pay attention to

Five things decide whether a ride went well.

None of them is the badge on the bonnet. This is the short list the whole operation is organised around.

01

Time is the entire product

Everything else about a chauffeur service is decoration if the car is late. So the boring margins get built in: dispatch earlier than the map suggests, a chauffeur already at the kerb when you walk out, flight numbers watched rather than trusted. A reservation is a promise about one particular minute. The quiet, the cold water and the route only matter because that minute was kept.

02

The car should look like it was expecting you

Nothing gives a hire away faster than a scuffed door or a cabin that still smells of the last passenger. Interiors are turned round between clients, not at the end of a shift.

03

A chauffeur is not a driver with a better car

The driving is the easy half. The rest is knowing when to speak, where to stand in a terminal, and what to do when the plan changes at the kerb.

What we ask of a chauffeur What we ask of a chauffeur

04

One number, from first quote to final invoice

No handing you between a booking agent, a dispatch centre and an accounts department. The company that quotes the job drives it and bills it.

05

The price you were quoted is the price

Quotes go in writing before anything is confirmed. Demand does not move the number — a Friday evening at LAX costs what a Tuesday morning costs.

03 — Standards

What we ask of a chauffeur.

Written as requirements rather than compliments, because that is how they are actually used when somebody wants to drive for us.

Licence and record
A current California driver's licence and a driving record we are willing to insure. This is the one item with no discretion attached to it.
Background check
Run before a first reservation rather than after a complaint. Clients who travel with family, or on a schedule that is nobody else's business, are entitled to assume it was done.
Time in the car
Six classes is a small enough fleet that a chauffeur learns all of them — where the switch for the rear blinds is, how the third row folds, which door to open when the kerb is on the wrong side.
Discretion, by default
Conversation if you want it, silence if you do not. Nothing about a passenger, a destination or a phone call carried out of the car goes any further.
Confidentiality as standard
Every chauffeur driving for this company has signed a confidentiality agreement, so discretion is not a premium tier you have to ask for. Corporate, production and talent bookings that need their own paperwork can send it through with the reservation, and it is executed before the vehicle is assigned.
Presentation
Dark suit as standard, and a chauffeur who is out of the car and at the door before you reach for it. Ask for something less formal and that is fine too — it is your day, not ours.

Requests attach to a booking, not to a hope. Preferred temperature, a route you would rather avoid, a child seat, a wheelchair going in the back — put it in the notes on your reservation and dispatch reads it before the car is assigned.

04 — How it runs

Five habits that keep a schedule honest.

This is the operating routine behind every reservation, whether it is a twelve-minute run to a restaurant or a fortnight of movements around a production.

One number, answered at any hour

(323) 799-3190 reaches reservations directly — no queue, no menu, no overnight voicemail. Holidays and four in the morning included, because that is when flights land and plans break.

A written quote before anything is confirmed

Hourly work starts from $85, the routes we drive most often carry set prices, and anything unusual is priced and sent to you in writing. Nothing is confirmed on a verbal figure that neither side can point to later.

A named class on the confirmation, not "a luxury vehicle"

Your confirmation says which of the six classes is coming. If the day changes and a larger vehicle is the sensible answer, you are told before it arrives rather than after.

Flights watched rather than taken on trust

Airport pickups are timed against the aircraft's actual movement, not the schedule printed on your ticket. The complimentary waiting allowance is stated on your quote, so there is no argument at the kerb about when the clock started.

Still reachable once the car is moving

Plans change mid-journey more often than people expect — an extra stop, a dinner that runs long, a second party to collect. The same number handles it while you are in the car.

05 — Boundaries

Four things we don't do.

Worth saying plainly, because in this trade all four are common enough that people have stopped asking.

Pass the job to somebody else

A great deal of car service is quietly resold. You book one name, a different company arrives, and nobody is quite accountable for the gap. We take the reservations we can drive ourselves.

Booking direct

Charge more because it is busy

No multiplier for a rainy Friday, a holiday weekend or a terminal in chaos. The rate you were quoted is the rate on the invoice, and the quote is in writing before you agree to it.

Set-price routes

Put strangers in your car

Every reservation is private. The vehicle is yours for the journey or the block of time you booked, with no pooled passengers and no detour to collect somebody else on the way.

The six classes

Print praise we wrote ourselves

The service is TCP licensed and insured, and the paperwork goes to any client who asks for it. Client notes are printed on the reviews page only where the sender agreed to it, and never with a name we invented; the rest of the feedback sits on the public listings, where we cannot edit it.

Where to read it

06 — Who runs it

Founded by somebody who still answers the phone.

RG Black Limo was started by RG Singh, and he still runs it. That is less interesting as a biography than as a practical fact: which cars get bought, which chauffeur takes which client, and what happens on the rare morning when something goes wrong — those are decisions made by one reachable person rather than by a policy written in another city.

Which decisions stay on his desk, and the standards he treats as non-negotiable, are set out on the leadership page. This page is about the company. That one is about the person accountable for it.

What that changes, in practice

  • Unusual requests get a straight answer. Somebody able to say yes is on the same number as everybody else.
  • Nothing needs escalating. There is no layer of account management between a client and the person responsible for the cars.
  • The standard does not drift. Ninety-nine vehicles and one operator means one idea of what "ready to go out" looks like, whichever car you are given.
  • Regulars are not re-interviewed. Preferences are asked once and kept on the booking record — the seat, the temperature, the way home.

07 — Over to you

Enough about us. Where are we taking you?

A date, a pickup, a number of passengers — that is all a quote needs. It comes back in writing, with the class of vehicle named on it.
